Swapan inaugurates Tk 300cr incentive loan distribution for rural entrepreneurs
DHAKA, June 14, 2021 (BSS) – State Minister for LGRD and Cooperatives Swapan Bhattacharjee today inaugurated Taka 300 incentive loan distribution programme for small rural entrepreneurs, who faced losses due to Covid-19, at low interest rate and easy term.
He inaugurated the programme by handing over cheque for Taka 5 lakh to each of five small entrepreneurs of Greater Faridpur district at a ceremony at Palli Bhaban conference room of Bangladesh Rural Development Board (BRDB) at Kawran Bazar here.
Under the stimulus package announced by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina for small entrepreneurs to counter adverse impacts of the coronavirus outbreak, BRDB got allocation of total Taka 300 crore loan fund. The loan will be distributed at 4 percent simple interest rate for two- year term.
BRDB Director General Supriya Kumar Kundu chaired the function while Rural Development and Cooperatives Division Secretary Md Rezaul Ahsan addressed it as the special guest.
BRDB officials of district and upazila levels joined the function virtually.
