RANGPUR, June 14, 2021 (BSS) – The number of citizens who got the second dose of the Covid-19 vaccine reached 3,87,910 in Rangpur division where 60 more people were inoculated today.
Health officials said the 60 citizens, including 37 male and 23 female, all hailing from Rangpur district alone, were inoculated with the second dose of the jab today.
None was vaccinated today due to vaccine scarcity in seven other districts of the division where the daily infection rate is rising speedily in recent days.
“The total of 3,87,910 second dose recipient citizens, including 2,47,053 male and 1,40,857 female, previously got the first dose at least two months ago,” Acting Divisional Director (Health) Dr Abu Md Zakirul Islam said.
The district-wise break-up of the second dose recipient 3,87,910 citizens stands at 89,569 in Rangpur, 31,753 in Panchagarh, 50,273 in Nilphamari, 27,920 Lalmonirhat, 33,769 in Kurigram, 37,359 in Thakurgaon, 78,830 in Dinajpur and 38,387 in Gaibandha.
“Meanwhile, none was vaccinated today with the first dose of the jab since April 26 last in Rangpur division where the number of citizens who got the first dose of the jab remained steady at 5,96,943 people,” Dr Islam added.
