DHAKA, June 13, 2021 (BSS) – A ‘Mujib Corner’, featuring different books, documents on Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, was set up at Dhaka University’s Microbiology department marking the birth centenary of Bangabandhu.
University Pro-Vice Chancellor (Education) Professor ASM Maksud Kamal today inaugurated the ‘Mujib Corner’ along with a modern reading zone and computer lab maintaining social and physical distance, said a press release.
Speaking as the chief guest, Pro-Vice Chancellor (Education) Prof ASM Maksud Kamal said that these initiatives of the Department of Microbiology, especially the newly formed Mujib Corner and Mujib Events would play an important role in preserving the immortal memory of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
Chairperson of the department Prof Dr Sabita Rizwana Rahman presided over the ceremony while acting dean of the Faculty of Biology Mihir Lal Saha, Dhaka University, Teachers Association (DUTA) General Secretary Prof Nizamul Hoque Bhuiyan, departmental teachers and officials were present on the occasion.
