Sports Sr Secy visits Kamalapur stadium to see renovation works

DHAKA, June 12, 2021 (BSS)- The Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) vice president Ataur Rahman Bhuiyan Manik said they want to start the BFF elite academy by this month at the Birshreshtha Shaheed Sepoy Mohammad Mostafa Kamal Stadium in the city’s Kamalapur.

Youth and Sports Ministry’s Senior Secretary Akhter Hossain today visited the Kamalapur stadium to see the progress of the ongoing renovation works of the stadium and elite academy. During the visit, Manik informed it to the pressmen.

BFF general secretary Abu Nayeem Shohag and officials of Ministry of Youth and Sports, Planning Commission and National Sports Council were also present.

Talking to newsmen, Youth and Sports secretary Akhter Hossain said instruction has been given to complete all the renovation works in the next ten days and hand over to BFF.

The National Sports Council is renovating the stadium for BFF’s elite academy at a cost of around Taka 16 crore.
