DPL: Miraz scripts Khelaghar’s fourth victory
DHAKA, June 11, 2021 (BSS)- Khelaghar Samaj Kallayan Samity registered their fourth victory in the Bangabandhu Dhaka Premier League (DPL), securing a 15-run win over Partex Sporting Club by DLS system at BKSP-4 ground today.
Allrounder Mehidy Hasan Miraz snapped up 2-15 in four overs before making 12 not out with batting in crucial time to play a key role in the victory.
Electing to bat first, Partex were restricted to 106-8 after failing to deal with Khelaghar bowlers. Apart from Miraz’s two-wicket haul, Irfan Hossain took 3-23 while Tipu Sultan picked up 2-18.
Khelaghar were 50-2 in seven overs before rain put an end to the game. As per DLS method, Khelaghar was ahead of 15 runs that time.
This was Partex’s seventh straight defeat and as usually they remained at the bottom of the table. The win however move Khelaghar up for seventh spot with eight points from seven matches.
