Bangabandhu’s autobiography to be published in Assam language

DHAHA, Oct 26, 2017 (BSS) – “The Unfinished Memoirs of Bangabandhu” is being translated into Assamese language and work in this regard is in progress, said Cultural Affairs Minister Asaduzzaman Noor.

“The translation of the autobiography of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman into Asamiya language is going on. This is a valuable and extraordinary document of the Bengali nation,” he said in a statement today.

Viki Publishers of the Indian state of Assam is translating the book into Asamiya language, according to the statement.

The minister said the people of Assamese language and culture will get opportunity to know the history of Bangali nation through translation of “The Unfinished Memoirs of Bangabandhu” into Asamiya language.

Asamiya is the state language of Assam and 15 to 20 million people speak this language.
