JS body to launch software for monitoring project.
DHAKA, June 10, 2021 (BSS) – The Parliamentary Standing Committee on the Ministry of Planning today informed that the work is underway to launch a software so that the concerned persons from district level to the ministry can monitor the projects by sitting at home.
The committee disclosed this in its 10th meeting at Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban with its chairman Abul Kalam Azad in the chair, said an official press release.
Committee members Planning Minister MA Mannan, Major (retd) Rafiqul Islam, Bir Uttam, Saber Hossain Chowdhury, Biren Sikder, Manzur Hossain, Raushan Ara Mannan and Adiba Anjum Mita attended the meeting.
The meeting discussed in details about the steps taken during the implementation of the 7th five year plan from July 2016 to June 2020 as per the evaluation report provided by Implementation Monitoring and Evaluation Division (IMED) on the completed projects from the Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Department of the Ministry of Education and Technical and Madrasa Education Department.
The meeting emphasized on completing the works of the projects within the stipulated time and sending the evaluation report to IMED maintaining the quality of the work and suggested to be more careful in appointing project directors for the implementation of various projects.
The meeting also discussed the participation of women in the development works and in the education system.
Among others, Senior Secretary of Planning Ministry, Members of Planning Commission, Secretary of Department of Implementation, Monitoring and Evaluation, Secretary of Department of Statistics and Information Management, Secretary of Department of Secondary and Higher Education, Secretary of Department of Technical and Madrasa Education, Directors General, Ministry and concerned officials of Ministry Secretariat were also present.
