Government mulls to formulate ‘Bangladesh Qualification Framework’: Nowfel

DHAKA, June 9, 2021 (BSS) – Deputy Minister for Education Barrister Mohibul Hasan Chowdhury Nowfel today said the government is planning to formulate the ‘Bangladesh Qualification Framework’ to align the English medium qualifications, technical qualifications with the regular academic qualifications in the country.

He said while virtually addressing the inaugural event of ‘Digital Library and Automation of Library Management System’ organized by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bangladesh (ICAB), said a press release.

Expressing hope to work with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bangladesh (ICAB) he said, ICAB may come up with the proposal to have the equivalency degree of CA qualification in a joint collaboration with the university under University Grants Commission (UGC).

Chartered Accountants may engage in academic deliberations in classroom of universities so that students can get in-depth knowledge in the subject covering technical aspects, he added.

He further said digital libraries pave the choices through various contents on the same issue. It acts as an open-source consortium for students and teachers.

ICAB president Mahmudul Hasan Khusru delivered address of welcome while vice president of ICAB Abdul kader Joaddar delivered a brief note on the automation activities of ICAB.
