Special lockdown extended till June 16 in C’nawabganj

CHAPAINAWABGANJ, June 7, 2021 (BSS) – Chapainawabganj district administration extended the ongoing special lockdown in the district till June 16 midnight with some relaxation.

The decision was taken in a meeting of the District Corona Control Committee this evening. The meeting was held at the conference room of the deputy commissioner.

After the meeting, DC Md. Monjurul Hafij in a press briefing told the newsmen.

Superintendent of Police (SP) AHM Abdur Rokib, Civil Surgeon (CS) Dr. Jahid Nazrul Chowdhury and other officials of the district administration were also present at the meeting.

The DC informed that shopping centres would remain open from 9 am till 5 pm obeying health rules but weekly markets (hats) would remain suspended. Transports would ply within the district but intercity trains and buses would remain suspended during the period.

Earlier, the district administration imposed special lockdown for two weeks in the district from May 24 midnight in two phases. The lockdown was supposed to end today at midnight.
