BUDGET-EC-ALLOCATION
Tk 1,728cr proposed for EC
DHAKA, June 3, 2021 (BSS) – Finance Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal has earmarked Taka 1,728 crore for the Election Commission (EC) Secretariat in the proposed budget for fiscal 2021-2022.
The finance minister proposed the allocation while placing the budget for fiscal 2021-22 in parliament here today with Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury in the chair.
The government had allocated Taka 1,717 crore for the EC in the proposed budget for fiscal 2020-21, while its revised budget of the current fiscal was Taka 1,795.
