Highlights of budget for FY22
DHAKA, June 03, 2021 (BSS) – Following are the highlights of the proposed budget for fiscal year 2021-22.
• Taka 6,03,681 crore budget (17.5 percent of GDP) with 7.2 percent growth target
• Taka 2,25,324 crore as the Annual Development Programme (ADP)
• Taka 3,78,357 crore for operating and other expenditures
• Inflation 5.3 percent
• Taka 1,70,510 crore for the social infrastructure sector
• Taka 1,79,681 crore for the physical infrastructure sector
• Taka 10,000 crore to fulfill emergency requirements to combat COVID-19
• Taka 1,07,614 crore for the social safety net programmes
• Corporate tax cut by 2.5pc for both listed and non-listed companies
• Tax-free income limit for third gender has been fixed at Taka 3.50 lakh
• Advance tax cut by 1pc for import of raw materials for industries
• 1pc exemption rate to SMEs for import of capital machinery
