DHAKA, June 3, 2021 (BSS) – Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) today predicted light to moderate rain or thundershowers at some places over the country in the next 24 hours commencing at 9am today.
”Light to moderate rain or thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at a few places over Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions and at one or two places over Dhaka and Mymensingh divisions,” said a met office bulletin today.
However, the day temperature may rise slightly and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country, said the bulletin.
Country’s maximum temperature on Wednesday was recorded 35.7 degrees Celsius at Syedpur and today’s minimum temperature was 24.4 degrees Celsius at Sylhet.
Highest rainfall for the last 24 hours till 6.00am today was recorded 54 millimeters (mm) at Cox’s Bazar.
The sun sets at 6.43 pm today and rises at 5.11 am tomorrow in the capital.
