DHAKA, May 31, 2021 (BSS) – Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) today predicted light to moderate rain across the country.
Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at many places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Mymensingh, Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions with moderately heavy to heavy falls at some places over the country, a met release said.
Mild heat wave is sweeping over the districts of Chandpur, Noakhali, Feni, Moulvibazar and Khulna and it may abate.
Day and night temperature may fall 1-3 degrees Celsius over the country.
Country’s maximum temperature on Sunday was recorded jointly 36.5 degrees Celsius at Maijdi Court and Feni and lowest temperature today was 23.3 degrees Celsius at Tangail.
Maximum rainfall for the last twenty-four hours till 6:00 am today was recorded 61 millimeters (mm) at Rajarhat.
Today’s sunset at 6.42 PM and tomorrow’s sunrise at 5.11 AM at Dhaka.
