BRAC delegation meets BGMEA President
DHAKA, May 30, 2021 (BSS) – A delegation of BRAC, led by its Executive Director Asif Saleh, met BGMEA President Faruque Hassan at the BGMEA office in the capital today.
They had discussion on possible areas of collaboration between BGMEA and BRAC, especially on issues and specific activities for the benefit of the RMG industry through livelihood programs and social enterprises of BRAC, said a press release.
In the meeting, the BRAC delegation was apprised of the present situation of the Bangladesh apparel industry and future priorities to identify fields of collaboration and design programs accordingly.
BGMEA Vice President Md. Shahidullah Azim, Vice President Miran Ali, Directors Md. Mohiuddin Rubel and Md. Imranur Rahman attended the meeting.
The BRAC delegation include -Tasmiah Tabassum, Head of Strategy and Business, Skills Development Programme, Jenefa Jabbar, Director Human Rights Legal Aid Services, Social Compliance & Safeguarding, Professor M Mahboob Rahman, Treasurer and VP Administration, BRAC Univerity and Sarah Binte Mohiuddin, Programme Manager Social Compliance.
