Health minister’s mother laid to rest in Manikganj
MANIKGANJ, May 28, 2021 (BSS) – Fouzia Maleque, mother of Health and Family Welfare Minister Zahid Maleque, was laid to eternal rest at family graveyard at Garpara village here today.
Fouzia Maleque, wife of former mayor of Dhaka City Corporation and minister MA Maleque, was laid to rest beside her husband’s grave following a namaz-e- janaza at Garpara High School playground at about 10am.
People of all walks of life, including Lawmaker of Dhaka-13 Benjir Ahmed, Deputy Commissioner of Manikganj SM Ferdous, SP Rifat Rahman Shamim, Manikganj District Council Chairman Advocate Golam Mohiuddin, Manikganj District Awami League General Secretary Advocate Abdus Salam, Manikganj Municipality Mayor Md. Ramjan Ali, District Awami League Vice President Advocate Abdul Majid Photo and Chairmen of all seven upazilas of the district participated in the janaza.
Fouzia Maleque died at a hospital in Dhaka on Thursday evening at the age of 84. She was suffering from old-age complications.
