Two remanded over Dakshinkhan youth murder
DHAKA, May 26, 2021 (BSS) – A court here today granted five-day remand for Asma Akter and mosque imam Maulana Abdur Rahman each in a case lodged over the recovery of six pieces of the body of a youth named Azharul from a septic tank at a mosque in Daksinkhan of the capital.
As they were produced before the Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate’s Court today, the investigation officer of the case prayed to place them remand for ten days in the interest of proper investigation of the case.
After the hearing, Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Begum Nivana Khair Jessy granted them five -day remand.
Earlier on Tuesday evening, RAB arrested Imam Maulana Abdur Rahman of Dakshinkhan’s Sardar Bari Jame Mosque and victim Azhar’s wife Asma Akter from Abdullahpur area of the capital on charges of involvement in the murder.
