CHATTOGRAM, May 24, 2021 (BSS) – Two construction workers were killed by a thunderbolt strike at west Boroiya village under Anwara upazila of the district on Sunday night.
The deceased were identified as Ilias Hossain, 50, and Abul Kashem, 40.
Oman Sayed, officer-in-charge (investigation) of Anwara police station, said a thunderbolt hit them while they were returning home from Baroulia area around 9 pm.
They were rushed to Anwara upazila health complex where attending doctors declared them dead.
