DHAKA, May 19, 2021 (BSS) – A new committee has been formed for the Dhaka University Model United Nations Association (DUMUNA) for 2020-2021 sessions with Mohammad Ashiqul Islam and Khandoker Kayes as its President and General Secretary respectively.
This year, the executive committee election was conducted online on May 18 due to restrictions on lockdown, said a press release today.
Later, Prof Dr Delwar Hossain, moderator of the Association, has formally handed over the baton to the 11th Committee after the election results were announced.
The newly elected president Mohammad Ashiqul Islam is a final year student of Mass Communication and Journalism department and Khandoker Kayes is from Management Department in the same session.
DUMUNA works for the intellectual and creative development of Dhaka University students under the concept of United Nations Assemblies.
DUMUNA has been organizing a shadow United Nations conferences every year since its inception in 2011.
