TANGAIL, May 19, 2021 (BSS) – At least three persons were killed and one injured when a microbus hit behind a cavard van at Mirzapore here early this morning.
The deceased were identified as Hasan Mia, 28, driver of the vehicle and son of Gani Mia of Sangnoor village of Akhaura upazila of Brahmanbaria district and Golam Mawla Shamim, 28, son of Imdadul Haq of Piari village of Akkelpur upazila of Jaipurhat and Imon Mia, 25, son of Salam Mia of village Tulabari of Brahmanbaria district.
Police said three persons died on the spot when a Dhaka bound microbus hit a cavard van standing at Pakullya bus stand on Dhaka-Tangail highway.
Critically injured Meem Akhter, 25, wife of Golam Mawla Shamim, was admitted at the Kumudini Hospital.
“Two vehicles have already been removed from the highway …the bodies will be handed over to their respective family members after completing the legal process,” said Adam Ali, Sub-Inspector of Gorai Highway Police Station.
