ARREST–HEROIN
1 held with 1.97 kg heroin in C’nawabganj
CHAPAINAWABGANJ, May 18, 2021 (BSS): Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested an alleged drug peddler with 1.97 kilogram of heroin from Shibganj upazila of the district this afternoon.
The arrested person was identified as Md. Abul Hayat, 25 of Binodnagar village under Daipukuria union of Shibganj upazila of the district.
RAB said, acting on a tip off, an operation team of RAB-5 from Chapainawabganj camp raided Haji Market area at Rosulpur under Shibganj upazila in the district around 4.15 pm and arrested Abul Hayat with the heroin.
Later, the arrested person was handed over to Shibganj thana police
