DHAKA, April 28, 2021 (BSS)- Information and Broadcasting Minister Dr Hasan Mahmud today expressed profound shock and sorrow at the death of veteran journalist, Press Secretary to the first interim President of Bangladesh Syed Nazrul Islam and Freedom Fighter Syed Shahjahan
In a condolence message, the minister said Syed Shahjahan, who was also former chief reporter of the daily Ittefaq, will be remembered forever for his valuable contribution to media and patriotism towards his motherland.
Hasan prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the
bereaved family members.
Syed Shahjahan passed away at a hospital in the capital today at the age of 78.
He left behind his wife, a daughter and a son to mourn his death.
