DHAKA, Apr 25, 2021 (BSS) – Considering the Muslims who have been fasting during the ongoing holy month of Ramadan, the time limit for keeping shopping malls and markets open has been increased to 9 pm from 5 pm.
Talking to BSS, Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) additional commissioner (Traffic) Munibur Rahman said the decision for remaining open the shopping malls and markets from 10 am to 5 pm has been changed and the time has been extended to 9 pm but no notification has been received yet.
Traders and shop owners were demanding the reopening of markets and shopping malls amid ongoing restrictions. In this circumstances, the government earlier decided to reopen markets and shopping malls from today. However, the DMP cautioned that health guidelines must be followed amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
The previous decision was that the markets and shopping malls could be remained open from 10 am to 5 pm every day.
