Khasru’s values, ideals will remain as model for future generation: Speakers

DHAKA, April 24, 2021 (BSS) – Speakers at a virtual memorial meeting of Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) President and former Law Minister Abdul Matin Khasru today said his moral values and ideals which he maintained throughout his life will remain as a model for the future generation.

The next generation would take Bangladesh towards prosperity by upholding the ideals of sacrificial politics of Khasru, they added.

‘Bangladesh Icon’ organized the virtual discussion while Awami Swechchhasebak League Advisor Mohammad Abu Taher conducted it.

Awami League Advisory Council members Mozaffar Hossain Paltu and Advocate Abdul Baset Mazumder, Organizing Secretary and Whip Abu Sayeed Al Mahmud Swapan, Deputy Publicity Secretary Aminul Islam Amin, Awami Jubo League General Secretary Mainul Hossain Khan Nikhil, Awami Swechchhasebak League President Nirmal Ranjan Guha and General Secretary Afzalur Rahman Babu, Krishak League President Samir Chandra, Sonar Bangla College Principal Abu Salek Mohammad Selim and Central President of Amra Muktijoddhar Santan and General Secretary of Dhaka based Cumilla Journalists’ Forum Md Sajjad Hossain spoke at the discussion.

Paltu said Khasru, also Awami League presidium member, did politics throughout his life upholding the ideals of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

“Our future generation can learn many things from him,” he added.

Other speakers said Khasru was a leader imbued with the ideals of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and the spirit of the Liberation War.

He was very modest, humble and liberal, they said, adding that the sudden death of Khasru made an irreparable loss to the country as well as to the nation.

They prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul of Khasru and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family members.
