CHATTOGRAM, April 22, 2021 (BSS)- Chattogram district administration today distributed relief to 400 persons with disabilities during lockdown at Kazem Ali School and College ground in city’s Chawkbazar.
Additional Deputy Commissioner (Education and ICT) ASM Jamshed Khandaker handed over the relief aid to 400 persons with disabilities this noon.
Speaking on the occasion, Jamshed Khandaker said, “People who became unemployed during the lockdown in the Corona situation as well as the indigent disabled will not be deprived of government relief.”
He said that the relief assistance would continue on the instructions of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
A 14-kg relief packet contains various food items including rice, pulses, oil, peas and Semai.
A number of executive magistrates, administrative and social welfare department officials of the district administration were present at the time.
