DHAKA, April 21, 2021 (BSS) – Detective Branch of Dhaka
Metropolitan Police (DMP) have arrested two more leaders of
Hefazat-e-Islam in the city.
They are: Maulana Khurshid Alam Kasmei, Central Assistant Secretary
General of Hefazat-e-Islam and Naib-e-Amir of Khilafat Mazlish
(Bangladesh) and Mufti Sharafat Hossain, Joint Secretary General of
Khilafat Mazlish.
Joint commissioner (detective branch) of DMP Mahbub Alam confirmed it today.
He said they were arrested in separate raids on Wednesday
afternoon. Khurshid was arrested from Mohammadpur area and Sharafat
from Mirpur area in the city.
