Abdul Matin Khasru’s condition improves

DHAKA, Apr 1, 2021 (BSS) – Advocate Abdul Matin Khasru, newly elected president of the Supreme Court Bar Association, has been tested negative for Covid-19 and shifted to cabin from ICU as his condition improved.

Supreme Court lawyer and Assistant Attorney General Shamim Khan, a member of Abdul Matin Khasru Associates, confirmed the matter to BSS today.

On March 17, he tested positive for Covid-19 and was admitted to CMH. He was taken to the ICU on Sunday. He was shifted to the cabin yesterday as his physical condition improved.

Adv Khasru, also the former law minister and presidium member of the Awami League, was elected president of the executive committee of the Supreme Court Bar Association for the year 2021-22 on March 13.

He is the Chairman of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs. He was the elected member of the Bangladesh Bar Council, the regulatory body for lawyers.
