Delegation of Indian Armed Forces war veterans calls on BAF assistant chief

DHAKA, March 28, 2021 (BSS) – A 38-member delegation of Indian Armed Forces, including 30 war veterans who joined the Bangladesh’s War of Liberation in 1971, today paid a courtesy call on Bangladesh Air Force Assistant Chief of Air Staff (Operations) Air Vice Marshal M Abul Bashar at Falcon Hall in the BAF headquarters here.

Major General Srinjay Pratap Singh led the delegation during the meeting, said an ISPR press release here.

During the meeting, the Assistant Chief of Air Staff exchanged greetings with the delegation and remembered the contributions of the Indian Armed Forces in Bangladesh’s Liberation War.

Principal staff officers and other senior officials of the BAF headquarters were present at the meeting.

The delegation is in a visit here since March 25 on the occasion of the birth centenary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and the golden jubilee of Bangladesh independence.

During the visit, the delegation also joined different functions marking the Independence and National Day-2021.
