CHATTOGRAM, March 28, 2021 (BSS)- Three people were killed and four others
received severe injuries in a road accident in Padua Union Parishad area on
the Chattogram-Cox’s Bazar highway under Lohagara thana in the district early
today.
The deceased were identified as Shah Alam Haq, 46, his brother-in-law
Jahangir Alam, 27, and their relative Ayaz, 33, all hailed from Ibrahim Kazi
Para under Ukia upazila of Cox’s Bazar district.
Police said the accident occurred when a microbus hit a standing truck in
the area as its driver lost control over the steering, leaving three dead on
the spot and injuring others.
The wounded were taken to Cox’s Bazar Medical College Hospital.
Mohammad Abdur Rob, in-charge of Dohazari highway police, told BSS that
they rushed to the spot and recovered the bodies.
A case was filed in this connection.
