Attackers on Hindu community in Shalla enemy of country: Faridul
SUNAMGANJ, March 25, 2021 (BSS) – State Minister for Religious Affairs Md Faridul Haque Khan today said those who carried out attacks on the houses of Hindu community and looted properties at Shalla in the district centering facebook status are enemies of the country and humanity.
“The culprits must be punished,” he told a solidarity rally after visiting the houses of Hindu community at Noagaon village at Shalla which came under attack recently.
The state minister also distributed foods and cash money among victim families.
Described the attacks as heinous and very sorrowful incident, Faridul Haque conveyed deep sympathy to the members of Hindu community who came under attack.
“Our government is firmly determined to bring all the culprits to book to ensure exemplary their punishment,” he said.
He said the local administration and law enforcement agencies have already taken necessary measures.
Sunamganj district AL President Md Matiur Rahman chaired the rally while member of Parliamentary Standing Committee on Religious Affairs and Hindu Welfare Trust Senior Vice Chairman Manoranjan Shil Gopal, MP, Mohibul Haque Manik, MP and Moazzem Hossain Ratan, MP, Additional Secretary of Religious Affairs Ministry MA Hamid Jamaddar, Hindu Welfare Trust trustee and former secretary Ashok Madhab Roy, trustee and valiant freedom fighter Rajendra Deb Mantu, Hindu Welfare Trust Secretary Dr Dilip Kumar Ghosh and Sunamganj Deputy Commissioner Md Jahangir Hossain, among others, were present.
