5,12,621 get COVID-19 vaccines in Rangpur division

RANGPUR, March 24, 2021 (BSS) – The number of coronavirus vaccine recipient people rose to 5,12,621 with inoculation of more 12,728 people today in Rangpur division.

“The 12,728 citizens, who were vaccinated with the COVID-19 vaccines today in the division, include 6,810 male and 5,918 female,” Rangpur Divisional Director (Health) Dr. Md. Ahad Ali told BSS tonight.

The total 5,12,621 citizens vaccinated so far with COVID-19 vaccines include 3,10,922 male and 2,01,699 female of all eight districts in the division.

“All vaccine recipients are leading normal life without remarkable side effects with the exception of 73 people who experienced temporary adverse events for a few minutes since February 7 in the division,” Dr. Ali said.

The district-wise break-up of 5,12,621 vaccine recipients stands at 1,40,137 in Rangpur, 37,214 in Panchagarh, 67,550 in Nilphamari, 33,237 in Lalmonirhat, 41,392 in Kurigram, 45,176 in Thakurgaon, 95,234 in Dinajpur and 52,681 in Gaibandha of the division.

“Many registered citizens are rushing to the vaccination centers daily to take the vaccines with huge enthusiasm since launching of the COVID-19 vaccination campaign on February 7 last,” Dr. Ali added.
