Ex Chattogram mayor Mahmudul tests positive for COVID-19
DHAKA , March 24, 2021 (BSS) – Former mayor of Chattogram and senior presidium member of Jatiya Party (JP) Mahmudul Islam Chowdhury has been tested COVID-19 positive some three days ago.
President of International Business Forum of Bangladesh and former lawmaker from Banskhali constituency Islam has been undergoing treatment in the capital’s United Hospital.
“ I am now well and at present have no major problem “ he told BSS .
He might have been infected with the deadly virus for his presence at a series of social programmes and anti-COVID -19 campaign as a political leader.
Islam urged all to seek blessings from almighty for his speedy recovery .
