DHAKA, March 14, 2021 (BSS) – Expatriate Welfare and Overseas Employment Minister Imran Ahmed today directed all to be strict in enforcing the law to curb violence and fraudulence of brokers (Dalal) in regard to foreign employment.
Mentioning that even minimal level fraud in the name of providing jobs abroad is tantamount to human trafficking, he said: “The government has adopted a zero tolerance policy against human trafficking.”
He said this while addressing the inaugural programme of a two-day workshop on ‘Mobile court to crack down on labor migration offenses’ organized by the ministry and the International Organization for Migration (IOM) for executive magistrates at Vijay 71 Auditorium of Probashi Kallyan Bhaban in the capital.
Expatriate Welfare and Overseas Employment Secretary Ahmed Munirush Salehin presided over the programme.
