BOA holds meeting on Bangabandhu 9th Bangladesh Games
DHAKA, March 14, 2021 (BSS) – A meeting of the media and publicity committee of the ‘Bangabandhu 9th Bangladesh Games 2020’ was held at the office of Bangladesh Olympic Association (BOA) here today.
BOA organized the meeting on the occasion of the birth centenary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
The meeting, chaired by Information Secretary Khaja Miah, finalized the list and route of torch-bearers for the upcoming Bangladesh Games.
According to the meeting’s decision, some 18 former athletes of the country will be divided into different groups for the torch-bearing journey.
The ‘torch-bearing journey’ will start from Bangabandhu’s birth place Tungipara in Gopalganj and end at Bangabandhu National Stadium.
The committee members– state-run national news agency, Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha (BSS) Managing Director (MD) and Chief Editor Abul Kalam Azad, Sheikh Bashir Ahmed Mamun, Kazi Rajib Uddin Chapal, Md Zahidul Islam, Md Azizur Rahman and Ikramuzzaman attended the meeting, among others.
