Country sees a gradual rise in COVID-19 infection rate: DGHS
DHAKA, March 14, 2021 (BSS) – The country sees a gradual increase in COVID-19 infection rate as most of the people are not following health rules properly.
This was told by Director General of Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) Prof Dr Abul Bashar Mohammad Khurshid Alam today.
“Now we are observing that young and healthy people are being infected by the deadly virus compared to previous times in the country… most coronavirus positive patients need ICU supports” he told a programme at the TB Hospital at Shyamoly in the city, the DGHS sources said.
The DGHS DG asked the authorities of all hospitals particularly COVID-19 dedicated hospitals across the country to increase service facilities of both general and ICU beds for coronavirus patients.
