HASAN-KHALEDA-TWO-LAST

Replying to a question on BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir’s statement that Begum Khaleda Zia has been kept under house arrest, she is not being treated and she is not being allowed to be taken aboard, Dr Hasan alleged that BNP continued to put its efforts to use Khaleda’s health issue for its political purpose with an evil intension.

He said that BNP secretary general Mirza Fakhrul should have thanked Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina for allowing Begum Khaleda Zia to stay at home despite her conditional bail from the court.

“Instead of that, he said, she (Khaleda) has to be taken abroad. Many people are being treated in Bangladesh and many of our MPs have died during this corona period, but none has been taken abroad. Many have been treated well in this country,” he added.

Dr Hasan said the more cultural activities are there, the more youth will be involved in cultural activities and the more their mindset will be developed. “Cultural activities can also play a major role in protecting young people from the militancy and drug addiction,” he added.

The information minister said BTV Chattogram centre is not a regional center, rather it is a national center. Those who are involved in the management of the center and those who are artistes and craftsmen should also bear this in mind, he added.

Chattogram Television is being experimentally telecast 18 hours in a day from January 21 and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will formally inaugurate 18 hours telecast in a convenient time, he added.

The information minister assured of taking steps to solve different problems, including manpower problems, in this television centre.
