Two motorcyclists killed in Manikganj road accident
MANIKGANJ, March 2, 2021 (BSS) – Two motorcyclists were killed as a bus ran over them in Falshatia area of Shibaloy upazila on the Dhaka-Aricha Highway in the district today.
The deceased were identified as Shafiqul Islam,36, son of Abdul Gani of village Korjona and his cousine Rajen Prodhan ,45, son of Poran Prodhan.
Shamim Al Mamun, Officer-in-Charge of Barangail Highway Police, said the accident occurred at about 4 pm today when a passenger bus of S P Paribahan knocked the motorcycle. Both the riders of the motorcycle died on the spot.
Police seized the bus, but the driver and the helper of the bus managed to fly.
The bodies of the deceased are kept at Barangail Highway Police Station for sending to Manikganj 250-bed Hospital for autopsy.
