Bangabandhu dreamt of establishing non-communal Bangladesh: Swapan
DHAKA, March 1, 2021 (BSS) – State Minister for Local Government, Rural
Development and Cooperatives Swapan Bhattacharya said Father of the Nation
Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman believed in equality of man and dreamt to
build a non-communal nation.
“Not only on the occasion of his birth centenary, the nation will remember
Father of the Nation forever for giving an independent Bangladesh”, the state
minister said this while addressing at a function to provide financial
assistance to the needy people, said a release today.
The function was organized by Bangladesh Puja Udjapan Parishad on the
occasion of the birth centenary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh
Mujibur Rahman
The state minister further said the historic 7 March speech of Bangabandhu
Sheikh Mujibur Rahman was a remarkable chapter for the Bengalee nation as it
made the nation united and liberated the country through a long and bloody
struggle of nine months.
Milon Kanti Dutt, President of Bangladesh Puja Udjapan Parishad, presided
over the function. Professors of Department of Culture, Dhaka University Dr
Asim Sarkar, Dr. Sanchita Guha and Prof. Dr. Nim Chandra Bhowmik also spoke
among others.
