Hasan condoles death of Syed Abul Maksud
DHAKA, Feb 23, 2021 (BSS) – Information Minister Dr Hasan Mahmud today expressed profound shock and sorrow at the death of noted columnist, researcher and writer Syed Abul Maksud.
In a condolence message, the minister said Syed Abul Maksud’s articles, columns and practices poetry over the politics, society, literature and culture and life and works of politician of Bangladesh are timeless.
Hasan, also Awami League joint general secretary, recalled the achievement of Bangla Academy Award for his (Maksud) outstanding contribution to the Bangla literature.
The minister prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family.
Noted columnist, researcher and writer Syed Abul Maksud today breathed his last at Square Hospital in the city at the age of 75.
