DHAKA, Feb 22, 2021 (BSS)- ‘Mujib Barsho’ third Beach Taekwondo competition
began today at open stage of Laboni point in Cox’s Bazar Sea Beach.
Deputy Commissioner of Cox’s Bazar and its District Sports Association
(DSA) president Mohammad Mamunur Rashid inaugurated the two-day meet as the
chief guest by the initiative of BTF, said a Bangladesh Taekwondo Federation
(BTF) press release here.
Cox’s Bazar Additional District Magistrate Shahjahan Ali, Cox’s Bazar
Police Superintendent of tourist Police Zillur Rahman, Cox’s Bazar DSA
general secretary Jasim Uddin and tournament committee’s chairman Suman Dey
were also present in the opening ceremony as special guests.
General Secretary of the BTF Mahmudul Islam Rana presided over the opening
ceremony.
Nearly 180 taekwondo players of different DSAs, schools, colleges and clubs
from across the country are taking part in the age group Poomsae categories
of the competition.
