Rahmat Ali’s 1st death anniversary tomorrow
DHAKA, Feb 15, 2021 (BSS) – The first death anniversary of Former State Minister and eminent Awami League Leader Advocate M Rahmat Ali will be observed tomorrow.
To mark the day, Rahmat Ali Smriti Parishad will organize a milad and doa-mahfil at Dhaka and Gazipur abiding by COVID-19 health safety guidelines and rules, set by the government.
“Different socio-cultural organizations including Awami League and Krishak League also will organize memorial meetings and doa-mahfil,” said Professor Rumana Ali, Rahmat Ali’s daughter and Chief Patron of Rahmat Ali Smriti Parishad.
Former State Minister and Awami League leader Advocate M Rahmat Ali died of old age complications on February 16, last year.
Advocate M Rahmat Ali had been elected lawmaker of Bangladesh Awami League from Gazipur-1 constituency in 1991, 1996, 2001, 2008 and 2014 respectively . Currently, his daughter Rumana Ali is a ruling party lawmaker of women reserve seat.
