(AL) candidate Shashadar elected Mayor in Phulpur and Anis (Independent) in Trishal Municipalities
MYMENSINGH, Feb 15,2021 (BSS)- Awami league (AL) candidate Shashadar Sen was unofficially elected Mayor of Phulpur Municipality and ABM Anisuzzaman Anis (Independent) reelected Mayor of Trishal Municipality.
Phulpur Upazila Election Officer Ashura Akhter Khatun told BSS that AL nominated candidate Shashedar Sen got 6,464 votes while his rival candidate Raqibul Hasan (Independent) got 3,713 votes.
Five Mayoral candidates contested in the Mayoral post in Phulpur Municipal Polls held yesterday .
ABM Anisuzzaman Anis (Independent) got 11659 votes and his nearest AL nominated candidate Nobinewas Sarker (AL) got 6674 votes.
Four candidates contested in Mayoral post in this Municipality the sources said.
