KHULNA, Feb 14, 2021(BSS) – People from all walks of life continued to swarm every day at government hospitals to take inoculation of coronavirus (COVID-19) defying all kind of rumours, says Khulna Civil Surgeon Dr Niaz Mohammad in a monthly district law and order committee meeting today.
“ A total of 20,699 people got vaccinated , till Saturday(Yesterday) evening. The vaccinated people were found well with no side effect ,” he said.
The virtual meeting was held at the Deputy Commissioner’s conference room with Deputy Director of local government in Khulna Iqbal Hossain in the chair.
Additional District Commissioner (ICT and Education) Md Sadiqur Rahman who delivered law and order situation of the district through power point presentation said law and order situation of Khulna is improving than previous months,
He said, a total of 161 cases were filed in nine police stations of the district in January, while 144 cases were filed in all eight metropolitan police stations in the city in last December.
Deputy Director of local government in Khulna Md Iqbal Hossain urged all to take COVID-19 vaccine in the scheduled time.
He also underscored awareness building campaign to ensure using face masks, saying there is no alternative to use masks.
Government officials and members of district law and order situation committee joined the meeting.
