Law minister mourns death of Zainul Haque Sikdar
DHAKA, Feb 11, 2021 (BSS) – Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs
Minister Anisul Huq today expressed profound shock and sorrow at the death of
valiant freedom fighter and Sikder Group chairman Zainul Haque Sikder.
In a condolence message, the law minister said, “Zainul Haque Sikder
will be remembered forever for his outstanding contribution to the social
service and health sector of the country by setting up private medical
colleges, hospitals and various institutions on private initiative.”
“We’ve lost an eminent entrepreneur at his (Zainul) death,” Anisul said.
The minister prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed
deep sympathy to the bereaved family.
Zainul, also chairman of National Bank, breathed his last yesterday at
12:30 pm while undergoing treatment at a hospital in the UAE, said a press
release issued here.
