Rain likely to continue till tomorrow

DHAKA, Sept 29, 2017 (BSS) – The country may experiences light to moderate rainfall till tomorrow as monsoon is active over Bangladesh, an official of Met Office told BSS today.

“Rains from light to heavy continued across most of the country today after some of the heaviest showers yesterday,” he added.

The Met Office outlook for weather during the subsequent two days said rainfall activity may decrease gradually.

Weather experts predict that monsoon is “set to bid farewell since first week of the next month (October)”.

During the past 24 hours ending at 6 am today, Sitakundu recorded the highest 110 mm rains followed by 94 at Dhaka, 89 mm at Bhola, 84 at Madaripur and 73 at Gopalganj.

Light to moderate rain or thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty or squally wind is likely to occur at most places over Rajshahi, Rangpur, Mymensingh, Dhaka, Khulna, Barisal, Chittagong and Sylhet divisions in the country, a weather bulletin of the Met Office said.
