Govt putting best efforts to transform villages into cities: Razzaque

DHAKA, Feb 5, 2021 (BSS) – Agriculture Minister Dr M Abdur Razzaque today
said all the villages across the country are gradually being transformed into
cities as the government has taken pragmatic steps to reach all the urban
facilities to the people living in rural areas.

“The government led by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina with utmost sincerity
is working to transform all villages into city,” he said after inaugurating
various development schemes at Modhupur municipality in Tangail.

All the modern city facilities including concrete roads, modern education
system, healthcare facilities and electricity will be ensured for each
village across the country so that people living in rural areas can avail all
the civic amenities, he said.

Mentioning that the incumbent government is putting its best efforts to
make the country poverty-free one, he said, “The present government is
working for building a non-communal democratic country where development
would be ensured for all.”

Newly elected Madhupur mayor Siddique Hossen Khan and upazila Awami League
president Shafiuddin Moni, among others, were present.
