KHULNA, Jan 28, 2021(BSS) –Commissioner of Khulna Division, Md Ismail Hossain today said real statistics is a must for country’s sustainable planned development and urged the young generation and students of different educational institution for their active participation in the upcoming census by furnishing with authentic information.
Islamail Hossain came up with the observation in an inception and view exchange meeting on preparedness activities of standing committee of Khulna divisional People and House Census committee -2021 Project was held at the divisional commissioner’s conference room.
Divisional Commissioner urged volunteers concerned to participate in the upcoming census with utmost sincerity, responsibility and cordiality to help by giving actual statistics.
Joint Director of Khulna divisional Statistics Office Md Golam Mostofa screened power point presentation, saying country’s 6th week long People and House Census will begin on October 25 and continue till October 31, this year .
On October 24 night will be marked as census night, he said, adding that census activities will be conducted into four phases. It is zonal operation, census information collection, Post Enumeration Check (PEC) and socio economical –demographic
Divisional Commissioner said the census will begin through Integrated Census Management System (ICMS), first ever in the country rather than previous census. It will effective in census management and name of information collector, supervisor, zonal officer, upazila, district and divisional level census coordinator and their details information will be available in digital network.
Deputy Director of Local government in Khulna district administration Md Iqbal Hossain, district and divisional level census coordinators, zonal officer, among others, attended the meeting. ##
