Eight teams share lead in ‘Mujib Barsho’ chess league

DHAKA, Jan 21, 2021 (BSS)- Eight teams are sharing lead in the points table with maximum four points after the second round matches of the “Mujib Barsho” second Division Chess League which is being held at National Sports Council tower auditorium lunge in the city.

The eight teams are Shahnoor Khan Smrity Sangsad, Sports Bangla, BD Chess In School, Legend Faraaz Ayaaz Hossain Chess team, Bangladesh Police Prime Chess Team, Grass root Sports Academy, Elegant International Chess Academy (Elite) and Abu Said Chess Club.

Four teams are sharing the second positions with three points. They are Nakahpara Jubo Kallyan Sangah, Latif Travels Chess Club, Sylhet, Tangail Chess Club and Crescent Club.

In the day’s second round matches held today with Shanoor Khan Smirity Sangsad beat Youngster Chess Club by 4-0 game points, Sports Bangla beat Bangladesh Chess Arena (Green) by 4-0 game points, BD Chess In School beat Rangpur Chess players Kalyan Samity by 3-1 game points, Legend Faraaz Ayaaz Hossain Chess Team beat Arthur Yusupov Training Group by 3-1 game points, Nakahapara Jubo Kallyan Sangah split point with Latif Travels Chess Club, Sylhet by 2-2 game points, Bangladesh Police Prime Team beat Sohel Smirity Sangsad by 3-1 game points, Grass root Sports Academy beat Sonirakhra Chess Club by 3.5-0.5 game points, Elegant International Chess Academy (Elite) beat Dabar Troyi Agrojo Smaran Sangah (Green) by 4-0 game points, Abu Said Chess Club beat Pin Chess Power by 2.5-1.5 game points, Tangail Chess Club beat Elegant International Chess Academy (Bravo) by 3-1 game points, Mohammadpur Chess Club drew with JU Chess Club, Crescent Club beat Flame Boy’s Club by 4-0 game points, Elegant International Chess Academy (Champion’s) beat Bangladesh Shishu Academy by 3-1 game points, Debonair Chess Club drew with Bangladesh Chess Arena (Blue), Masud Sports Chess Club beat Dhaka Chess Academy by 3-1 game points, Dipali Memorial Club drew with Bangladesh Police Star Team, Goalundo Daba Club beat Elegant International Chess Academy (Knight) by 2.5-1.5 game points, Fire Service & Civil Defense Sports Club beat Titas Club by 4-0 game points, Dabar Troyi Agrojo Smaran Sangah (Red) beat Xoom Auto by 3-1 game points and BRAC Chess Club beat Backward Pawns by 3-1 game points.

The third round matches start tomorrow (Friday) from 3 pm at same venues.
