‘Mujib Barsho’ Div II Chess league inaugurated

DHAKA, Jan 20, 2021 (BSS)- The ‘Mujib Barsho’ second Division Chess League, organised by Bangladesh Chess Federation (BCF), formally inaugurated at the Chess Federation hall-room today.

The matches of ‘Mujib Barsho’ Second Division Chess League started after a simple inauguration ceremony, said a BCF press release here today.

A total of 42 teams are participating in the event which is being held in a nine round Swiss-League system. The top two teams in the league will qualify for the First Division Chess League later this year.

The champion team of the event will get Taka 25,000.00 among the total prize money of Taka 50,000.00 (fifty) thousand while the runners-up team will have Taka 15,000.00 and the third place team will get Taka 10,000.00.

The second round matches will start tomorrow (Thursday) from 3 pm at the same venues.
