Tech education plays active role in economic emancipation-Nowfel

DHAKA, Jan 2, 2021 (BSS) – Deputy Minister for Education Barrister Mohibul Hasan Chowdhury Nowfel today said that technical education can play a vibrant role for economic emancipation through skilled population.

“Economic emancipation and skilled human resources befitting with changing global situation are indispensible to build ‘Sonar Bangla for the nation,” he said.

The deputy minister said this while speaking as the chief guest at a workshop on “Bangabandhu and Bangladesh” organized by the Technical Education Board on the occasion of Mujib Year at the Liberation War Museum auditorium in city’s Agargaon.

He said Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman should not be confined in any political party, rather, he (Bangabandhu) must be cherished nationally.

“If we want to get the benefits of independence, we have to run the country considering the ideals and political philosophy of the father of the nation,” he added.

Nowfel further said present government has been constantly trying to spread the ideology and philosophy of Bangabandhu among all through various programmes in the Mujib year.

He added that the present government under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has undertaken mammoth developmental activities including establishment of economic zones and a technology based skilled human manpower is a must for successful implementation in this regard.

Ministry of Education’s Technical and Madrasha Division Secretary Aminul Islam Khan, Technical Education Board Secretary Md Jahidul Hasan and Bangladesh Technical Education Board Chairman Dr Md Morad Hossain Mollah also spoke on the occasion.
