250kgs bomb found at HSIA
DHAKA, Dec 30, 2020 (BSS) – A bomb, weighing about 250kgs, was found
at the construction site of the third terminal of Hazrat Shahjalal
International Airport (HSIA) today.
According to the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) press
release, a bomb search team found another general purpose (GP) bomb at
the construction site of the third terminal of the airport in the
morning.
The bomb was later defused with the necessary equipment and sent to
a safe place with caution for demolition, it added.
A bomb search team of Bangladesh Air Force has been conducting
regular ‘bomb search activities’ at the construction site of the third
terminal of HSIA since the first bomb was found on December 9.
Experts said the bomb was similar to those found on December 9, 14,
19 and December 28 in 2020.
